Danielle Vlcek grew up in the west suburbs of Chicago where she attended Lyons Township High school. She continued her education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She went on to get her Juris Doctor at the John Marshall Law School. While at John Marshall, Danielle worked to expand her litigation skills by actively participating in the trial advocacy program. Teams she competed on placed first in the 2012 ABA Regional Arbitration Competition, third in the 2012 National Arbitration Competition, and third in the 2013 PAD National Mock Trial Competition where she received a personal award for best advocate out of 132 participants. When she was not in class or preparing for a mock trial competition, Danielle was clerking in the Narcotics Division and Gangs Crimes Unit of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where she learned the ins and outs of criminal procedure inside Leighton Criminal Courthouse, one of the largest courthouses in the country. After graduating law school, Danielle went straight into private practice where she began handling her own personal case load of up to 100 cases at a time in areas of law spanning from personal injury, criminal defense, family, divorce, traffic, and worker’s compensation. After five years practicing under the mentorship of other experienced attorneys, Danielle started her own practice where she focuses on criminal and traffic defense, family law and divorce law.
Throughout her tenure as an attorney Danielle has had experience representing a wide range of clients and has done dozens of trials in all different areas, including, traffic defense, criminal defense, divorce law, post-degree custody matters, DCFS expungement appeals, and orders of protection hearing. Danielle is committed to protecting the freedom and reputation of her clients.
Danielle is an executive board member of the Southwest Suburban Bar Association. She has been the chairperson of the scholarship committee since 2018 and helps with various fundraising events. Danielle teaches continuing legal education seminars at SWBA events teaching on topics such as discovery in domestic relations cases, DCFS investigations and appeals, child support and maintenance, domestic violence, and statutory summary suspension law. She strongly believes that being involved in the legal community and staying up-to-date on current case law is extremely important in being a successful litigator.
